Saturday, March 5th:
Bring Out the Tomte: A Day of Winter Gnomes
Come say goodbye to winter and hello to spring and bless the gardens and pastures of the Stevens-Coolidge Place and celebrate the mischievous Swedish gnomes called Tomtes. Families are invited to gather around a warm cozy fire and enjoy crafts for the kids and hot chocolate and cookies will be served.

Saturday, April 2nd:
Stevens to Stevens Coffee Walk
Looking for great coffee, great company, and a great chance to get active outdoors? The first Saturday of each month join our friends at the Stevens-Coolidge Place for coffee and tea, followed by a social walk of the Stevens to Stevens trail, an easy 2.5 mile trip out and back. Attend with friends and family, or meet new friends who share a love for nature. Meet in the parking lot located across from the Stevens Coolidge Place on Chestnut Street.

Wednesday, April 6th:
First Peas to the Table
Introduced with a Storytime reading of “First Peas to the Table” by Susan Grigsby, this fun gardening workshop for kids will teach your child about planting and maintaining a pea plant. Your child will get to plant their own pea seeds, decorate their pea pot, learn how to care for their plant, and create a journal to monitor their plant’s growth just like the students in the story. This program is designed for children ages6-9. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please note that space is limited and pre-registration is required.

Terrific Terrariums
In this social and hands-on garden workshop, bring the garden indoors and make your own springtime terrarium. Create a miniature forest or garden. Add a little whimsy to your terrarium with miniature figurines and décor. Materials, instruction, and wine will all be provided for a fun, social evening of crafting! Please note that space is limited and pre-registration is required.

Children’s Tour of the Stevens-Coolidge House
Looking for some family fun this April Vacation week? Activities are happening all week long! Start off the week with a brand NEW tour opportunity at the Stevens Coolidge House. This hands-on family friendly tour will bring the past to life for you and your child. Stories, photos, and objects allow kids to consider differences and similarities between the past and today.

Tuesday, April 19:
Lawn Games Day
Head over to the Stevens-Coolidge Place on Tuesday between 10am and noon for lawn games. Croquet, bocce, ring toss and more, will all be available in the gardens. Bring a picnic with you and stay into the afternoon for a full day of outdoor fun.

Homes of the Flower Fairies
As the first flowers of spring begin to emerge, it is time for the Flower Fairies to come awake the garden beds. On Wednesday, come to hear stories of the Flower Fairies and see if you and your child can find any signs of fairies throughout the garden. Then create your very own fairy house from natural materials found on the grounds.
